Team Development
The need for curiosity at work today is not just desirable – in the current climate it is an existential imperative.
We are living at a time when the pace of change is so fast that skills we have now may well be obsolete in five years time. The ‘half-life’ of learned skills, which was approximately 30 years in the 1980s, has shrunk to fewer than four years today.
Whilst we can predict the need for changing skills, we don’t specifically know what will emerge from AI and advancing technology. So, organisations need to focus on the skills which will facilitate rapid change and skills adoption.
Exploring the unknown in this context highlights the need for one critical skill at the very heart of organisations – curiosity.
In order to facilitate curiosity in teams leaders must create an inclusive environment where psychological safety is high. Future-ready teams will be dynamic, empowered and will innovate through curiosity.

Team Development
-
When teams have a shared sense of purpose, they develop emotional connections which create ‘affective trust’, genuine feelings of concern and care, rather than just ‘cognitive trust’, understanding that someone has the competence to do their job. This is the fundamental difference between teams who create transformation and those who merely transact.
This workshop can be delivered with mixed teams or as development support for intact teams.
-
Relational connectivity in teams is complex and whilst there are attributes of teams which can be developed to support this, it requires facilitation by the leader to navigate this complexity.
This workshop supports the team element of our Leadership series focusing on developing connections.

The future-fit executive and senior leadership teams team will be less about individual power and more about collective intelligence, agility, and a profound commitment to both purpose and human potential.
Composition will diversify: Expect more diverse backgrounds, including non-traditional paths, technical experts, and even "Chief AI Ethicists" or similar roles. The C-suite might expand or reconfigure to include roles focused on emerging areas like sustainability, data ethics, or human-AI collaboration.
Focus will shift from control to enablement: Executives will move away from dictating actions and towards creating the conditions for success. This means providing resources, removing roadblocks, fostering psychological safety, and empowering autonomous teams.
Collaboration will be key: Silos will be actively broken down. Executive teams will practice radical transparency and cross-functional collaboration, modeling the behavior they want to see throughout the organization. This will involve more fluid team structures and project-based work.
Risk-taking will be calculated and encouraged: In a volatile environment, the ability to experiment and iterate quickly will be vital. Executives will need to be comfortable with calculated risks and learn from failures, fostering a culture where innovation is rewarded.
Communication will be transparent and authentic: Building trust will be more important than ever. Executive teams will need to communicate openly, even when facing challenges, and be authentic in their leadership to inspire loyalty and engagement.
